Maps dataset · 55 fields per place

Every business with a front door

Every business location we can verify — the shop, the clinic, the depot, the branch office. Each one carries its own 55 fields and a foreign key onto the company graph, so a forty-branch chain is one buyer and forty addresses.

Coverage

Where the pins are

Places are counted per physical location, so density follows population and commercial activity rather than company registrations.

Schema

All 55 place fields

Some of this is dense by definition — a listing always has a name and a point. Attributes and hours are only as complete as the owners keep them, and a field nobody filled stays blank.

Identity & naming

Stable place id survives renames, so a location can be tracked across refreshes.

Category & taxonomy

The listing category is mapped onto the same NACE section and segment tree as companies.

Ratings & reviews

Aggregates only — score, volume, distribution and recency. No review text is redistributed.

Opening hours

Weekly grid plus holiday overrides and the closure flag, kept in local time.

Attributes & amenities

Sparse by nature: owners fill in what matters to them, and we never infer the rest.

Use cases

What teams actually do with the maps dataset

Three patterns cover most of it. All three depend on the join back to the company graph — a pin on its own is not a buyer.

Location intelligence

Density, whitespace and cannibalisation questions answered on real listings rather than a sample panel.

  • Count competitors inside a drive-time ring before signing a lease
  • Track openings and closures month over month from the closure flag
  • Score catchments by category mix, rating and review volume

Local lead generation

Turn a category and a radius into a contactable list — with the company profile attached, not just a pin.

  • Filter by category, rating band, review count and published hours
  • Join to the company graph for headcount, stack and decision-makers
  • Hand the segment straight to an Autopilot campaign

Competitive mapping

Chains resolve to one parent company, so footprint questions stop being string-matching exercises.

  • Group branches under a single company_id and count the estate
  • Compare footprints across regions and categories
  • Spot franchise expansion from new locations appearing on cycle

Delivery

However your stack wants it

A full rebuild lands every 4 weeks; between rebuilds you get weekly deltas of new, changed and closed locations, keyed on place_id so loads stay idempotent.

CSV

UTF-8, RFC 4180, one row per place. Good for a one-off segment handed to a team that lives in a spreadsheet.

Parquet

Columnar, snappy-compressed, partitioned by country and category — the format for anything above a million rows.

S3 / GCS drop

We write to your bucket on your schedule, with a manifest per delivery so loads are idempotent.

API

The same filters as the app, paged, over the public API. Useful when you need places on demand rather than in bulk.

POST /v1/search/places
{
  "filters": {
    "countries": ["NL", "BE"],
    "segments": ["restaurants", "hotels"],
    "hasPhone": true,
    "sort": "relevance",
    "limit": 1000
  }
}

The same filter object drives the app, the bulk extract and the API — so a segment you validate by hand is the segment that gets delivered. Rows are metered in credits; bulk extracts are quoted per million.

Ask for the slice you care about

Name a country, a category and a rating band. We will send a free sample extract as soon as the maps dataset is live.
